The University
Dominion University is a duly-licensed private faith-based University established by Victory International Church, Ibadan. It is located at Km 24, Ibadan-Lagos Expressway, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. The historic city of seven hills, Ibadan is the heartland of Yorubaland; the largest city in sub-Saharan Africa and home to the most hospitable and humane people in Africa.

The Campus
Dominion University is a primarily residential built-up campus, with hostel accommodation and staff quarters, on about 100 hectares of eco-friendly environment. It is projected to accommodate 10,000 students at full capacityover the next ten years.

The Vice Chancellor
The Candidate for the position of Vice Chancellor should be a person of outstanding character, exceptional competence, proven academic and administrative track record. In addition such a candidate should:
• have the passion, courage, vision, and leadership capacity to grow a new private university in a challenging milieu,
• show evidence of relevant international and local networks,
• have exceptional interpersonal skills
• show evidence of commensurate technology literacy and utilization.

Candidate(s) should have been a professor in a recognized University for a minimum of ten years.

Registrar
The candidate for the position of Registrar should have a minimum of a good honours degree and should have attained a minimum level of a Principal Assistant Registrar in a recognized University. The candidate should
• demonstrate a high sense of integrity and discipline
• show familiarity with the regulatory environment for the Nigerian University System
• provide evidence of membership of relevant professional associations
• demonstrate knowledge and competence in human resource management
• be a team player
• be able to establish sound administrative culture and tradition.

Bursar
The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the University’s financial matters. Applicants should have worked in the Bursary Department of a Tertiary Institution for a minimum of ten (10) years. Candidates for the position of Bursar shall possess a good honours degree or its equivalent in accounting, economics or related discipline, as well as have professional qualification such as ACA, APA, ACMA, ACCA, ICAN and ANAN.

Candidates shall be required to:
• demonstrate evidence of sound practice and familiarity with the functioning of the Nigerian University System
• demonstrate sound business competence
• be a person of high integrity
• have good interpersonal skills
• demonstrateexcellent ICT skills.

Librarian
The Librarian is the Academic and Professional Head of the University Library and is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and management of the University Library system. Candidates must possess a minimum of a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science and must have attained a minimum rank of Principal Librarian or its equivalent.

Associate Professor/Professor
Professors are expected to provide academic leadership and mentor other ranks of staff. In addition, they should have solid administrative experience.
Other requirements for the position are:
• Possession of a PhD
• Minimum of 10 years of (university) teaching and/or research experience
• Evidence of publications in reputable outlets
• Community service track record.

Senior Lecturer
• Possession of a PhD
• Minimum of five years of post-PhD experience
• A PhD without university teaching but with not less than 15-years experience in a related industry, field, agency or organization
• Commensurate number of quality publications

Lecturer
• Possession of a PhD
• A good Master’s degree (with evidence of ongoing PhD registration) and a minimum of five years of teaching experience at the University level.
• A Master’s degree in a related discipline with not less than 10 years’ experience in a related industry, Ministry, Department or Agency.

Assistant Lecturer
A Master’s Degree in the respective disciplines.

Terms of Appointment
Appointment of Principal Officers (Vice Chancellors, Registrar, Bursar and Librarian) is for a period of five years effective from the date of appointment and on such terms and conditions as may be stated in the letter of appointment. All other appointments are confirmable to a retirement age subject to the conditions of service of Dominion University.

(2) Non-Academic Positions

Qualifications
• For (a)-(d) candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required. A minimum of 10 years’experience is required for Principal Assistant Registrar, 8 years for Senior Assistant Registrar 4 years for Assistant Registrar and 2 years for Administrative Officer, with a proviso that length of service is only relevant to the immediately higher office.
• For (e) Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and/or Guidance Counselling.
• For (f) Bachelor’s Degree in Library Studies or a Diploma in Library Studies with relevant experience.
• For (g) Bachelor’s Degree in Laboratory Technology with relevant experience for Technologists
• For (h) Diploma in Laboratory Technology with relevant experience for Laboratory Assistants
• For (i) a good honours degree and five years in professional practice
• For (j) a minimum of a good Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance and related disciplines and not less than two years’ experience in professional practice
• For (k) OND in Accounting, Finance and related disciplines
