Dominion University students (familiarization) visit/ Screening exercise
August 1, 2019 was indeed a memorable day for Dominion University. There was a lot of excitement and joy in the air, as the entire staff and prospective students and parents of Dominion University experienced their first viewing and tour of the University they will soon call home!
The Tour started out at the entrance of the University where the beautifully outlined layout of the University was shown to the visitors. The extensive facilities, faculties, Chancellor’s quarters, Staff Quarters, Academic and Administrative buildings, sports facilities and areas amongst other well modelled buildings nicely captured and arrayed proved to be a very attractive sight to the parents and students present who couldn’t wait to unravel the beauties before them.
They were taken round each facility. The lecture theatres, different faculties, laboratories, libraries, staff quarters, Chancellor’s lodge, etc. at each point, students were encouraged to take a deep look at their surroundings and do their best once they resume to optimally utilize every facility made available just for them. The Chancellor, Bishop T.V. Adelakun, at the Lecture Theatre, addressed the students on the academic requirements, courses and fees; and the importance of being conversant with these details, especially when they want to discuss same with their peers. At the University Chapel, the Chancellor, Bishop T.V. Adelakun, admonished the students once again to be of good conduct throughout their stay in the University.
After the Tour exercise, the students were taken to the Senate Administrative building where a conference was held between the prospective students, their parents and the University staff-

During the conference, Bishop T.V. Adelakun reiterated the courses, fee schedules and ancillary information about Dominion University needful for the students and parents. Dominion University flyers/magazines were given to the visitors, as well as packaged snacks as they returned to their various destinations.
