Dominion University, Ibadan, is set to welcome students, staff, and invited guests to its 7th Matriculation Lecture, a significant academic gathering designed to inspire fresh students and reinforce the institution’s commitment to raising generational leaders.

The matriculation lecture, scheduled for Wednesday, 28th January, 2026, will hold by 10:00AM prompt at the Dominion University Chapel, located along the Ibadan–Lagos Expressway, City of Faith, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Lecture Theme

This year’s lecture will focus on an important national discourse:

“Security Society and the Student: The Role of Educated Youths in Building a Stable Nation.”

The theme highlights the responsibility of educated young people in shaping a secure, progressive, and united society. As students begin their academic journey, the lecture will serve as a timely reminder that education must translate into positive societal impact.

The University is honoured to host Dig. Adeleye Olushola Oyebade (RTD., MNI) as the Guest Speaker. His wealth of experience and insight will provide valuable perspectives on security, nation-building, and the role of youth in sustaining peace and stability in Nigeria.
