Philosophy, Aim and Objectives

The Public Health program is guided by the philosophy that prevention is better than cure and that community participation is essential in building sustainable health systems. The course emphasizes equity, social justice, and multidisciplinary approaches to solving health problems.

Objectives

The objectives of a degree in Public Health is to:

  • To equip students with knowledge in epidemiology, health promotion, environmental health, and healthcare policy.
  • To prepare graduates capable of designing and implementing community-based health interventions.
  • To develop critical thinkers who can analyze health data and propose evidence-based solutions.
