Courtesy Visit to the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
The Dominion University team arrived at the Olubadan’s palace at about 1pm, with the chiefs and Personal Assistant to the king welcoming the crew. There was presentation of gifts to the king and same was received by the Personal Assistant to the king, Mr. Abiola Oloko.
The palace bard introduced introduced members of the King’s cabinet- Mr Abiola Oloko, the Chiefs present, the King’s Queen, Queen (Mrs) Rashidat Adetunji. He gave audience to Bishop T.V. Adelakun to introduce the Dominion University entourage. Barr Ayo Adetoyinbo introduced the team-the Chancellor, Bishop T.V. Adelakun, wife and visioneer, Pastor (Mrs) Dolapo Adelakun, the Vice Chancellor-Prof Adedoyin Soyibo, Dr Osasona, Member of the Planning and Implementation Committee, the liaison officers, Minister Abiola Oladele, P.A. to the Chancellor, the technical and photography crew.
Mr Oloko gave warm regards from and on behalf of the king. He congratulated Dominion University for its progress so far. He appraised the location of Dominion University as strategic for admissions and mobility convenience. He also gave commendations to the chancellor on the focus and determination to see such a large project through. He appraised the members of the Planning and Implementation committee, particularly Prof AdedoyinSoyibo, who is a seasoned and well known Professor.
He blessed the University and encouraged Dominion University to use Rehoboth Cathedral as a threshold to build Dominion University upon, both structurally and spiritually. He assured of the King’s full support in any and every way possible, and attendance at the matriculation of the university.
The Queen, Mrs Rashidat Adetunji gave the closing remarks and prayers and group photographs were shared.
