The evening of Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025, saw the graduating class of Dominion University, the Eagles, honored at a special dinner hosted by the Chancellor at his official residence.
The event, a highlight of the week-long convocation activities, was filled with excitement, laughter, and a profound sense of gratitude shared by the Chancellor, the university management, and the graduands.
In his welcome speech, the Chancellor offered both encouraging words and advice about the challenges and opportunities that lie beyond the university gates. Addressing the graduands, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abel Olorunisola, urged them to “learn to run your own race.” He reminded them that they are now poised to take full responsibility for their lives and navigate their paths independently.
Several graduands shared their joy and appreciation for the intimate and special occasion. Adeyemi Akintoye remarked, “It was wonderful to be together like this for one last time, and we are really going to miss each other.” Favour Chima added, “Being hosted at the Chancellor’s house made this dinner incredibly special and a truly memorable experience.”
The 2025 convocation and its accompanying events mark another significant milestone in the university’s history, powerfully embodying its core mission of “raising generational leaders.”
